Custom Fabricated Insulated EPS Shipping Container for the Food Industry

Project description:
A customer in the food industry recently contacted Drew Foam of Georgia to manufacture custom packaging for their baked pies. Shipping perishable items requires adequate insulation and protection of the food through the rigors of the shipping process. We met with the customer to set packaging requirements for their specific application. From this meeting, technical drawings were created and samples were fabricated. Density testing and dimensional inspection as well as form and function fit tests were performed as part of the first part approval process. After the customer approved the initial prototype, a mold was fabricated to produce the packaging at the production level. This product utilized EPS, which is lightweight, economical and recyclable.
By thoroughly understanding specific packaging requirements, we can design and produce an economical custom solution to meet any shipping application. At Davis Core, we are committed to providing packaging that meets all shipping protection and insulation requirements, is cost effective and has minimal impact on the environment.
